Jacob is now 9. He is already looking forward to next year when he will turn 10, double digits. I told him to slow down and enjoy 9. For his birthday we got him an electric go-kart, which he enjoys.
We also did a progressive dinner stopping at Applebees for appetizers, McDonald for fries, Frankenburger for burgers and Five Guys for milkshakes. By the time we got home no one wanted cake so we had that for breakfast the next day.
Jacob's competitive drive has blossomed these last couple of months; he has become very competitive at school with his grades. It surprises me but I am glad he is confident in his ability to get good grades. He is still my thoughtful kind Jacob though; with a great sense of responsibility and a good work ethic.
