Today I told the boys I would pick them up from school: Jacob remembered Jack did not.
After enlisting the help of Jack's teacher we determined he must had gotten on the bus. His teacher was very surprised by this, she said, "That surprises me he forgot; he usually is on top of what he needs to do. He is one of the best behaved kids in the class."
As she said this the para that works in his room, Mrs. Hansen, chimed in. "Oh ya Jack is so well behaved, a great kid."
At first I was surprised to hear he was so on top of things but then I thought about it and am not. He does what he needs to do, just at home he is usually whiny along the way or taking longer then he should. I need to appreciate that he does get his "morning jobs" done without direction, that he is on top of things he knows he needs to do.
