Over President's Day weekend we went up to Spokane State Park. We rented a super neat cabin at the state park there. On the way up, which was treacherous with snow and ice, the kids played their screens so they didn't notice a thing. Once we were up there we hiked, lounged around, did crafts, watched movies and played games. The cabin had a microwave so all we brought was microwavable food. Jack loved his kid's tv dinner. Since it was winter no one else was near our cabin so the kids and Skipper could play outside all they wanted. Most of the time they played some sort of game that included many weapons and defending the hill we were on. Jack had a whole elaborate scenario of battle plans and weapons to defeat the enemy. Amelia played along real well with the whole thing. Jacob did his best despite his teenage imagination. It was also Valentine's Day so I brought treats, cookies and special surprises. For a Valentine's activity we each took turns writing one thing we loved about each other and ourselves on paper hearts.

Afterwards we hung them up all over the cabin for decorations. I would say it was defiantly a warm and fuzzy weekend that I will treasure.
